Standing and Teething

Things are changing so fast I can't even keep up with them! I don't know what's wrong with me, but the things that I used to enjoy now seem almost boring. I still love my mat, but I don't get the same pleasure that I once did lying on my back and looking at the toys above. It's like now I want to grab them and pull myself up - or move somewhere - I just don't want to stay on my back! I'm practicing sitting which is nice but it's still not very exciting since I can't reach very far in front of me. After awhile I get a stomach ache too because my head weighs me down and I end up all hunched over. But standing - wow - now that is exciting!! It's like I'm always living on the edge, just about to topple over, but someone is always there to catch me. And the view is amazing from this height. I just realized recently that there are animals on my mat. Before, I just thought there was some purple thing that stuck out of the mat, but when I look at it from above I realize it's an elephant's ear, and the whole elephant head is printed right there! It's pretty cool.

The other thing that's changing has to do with my mouth. Apparently I have teeth!! I'm not sure what they are good for yet, since I can't chew milk. I do know that they are a lot sharper on my thumb than my gums are. I can't see what all of the fuss is about, but it makes my parents really excited every time they see them. "oh look at his teeth!!" they say. And I keep overhearing them talk about it to others. I have started watching my parents eat recently and realized that they don't drink milk, unless they are eating what they call "brownies". They seem to really enjoy their food too, so I'm looking forward to when I might get to chew something. I mean, it seems like it would be a lot of work, to chew and use a fork, but there must be some benefit to it, or else they would still be using a bottle right? I have a doctor appointment this week and my parents seem to think I might be able to eat something other than milk after that appointment. I'm a little nervous though - what if I don't like it?
