Checking Sanity

Daddy took me in to see Mom at work today. They said something about Friday the 13th blah blah good day blah Valentine’s Day blah blah.. All I know is I saw my mom in the middle of the day and it was fun! Well, ok..not “fun fun” because there were no monkeys there, but “fun” because Mom was there. Some of her coworkers were very excited to see me. One of them kept calling me her “boyfriend” (yuck) and I found out that Mom always sends her pictures of me. I got embarrassed by this and tried to cover my face with a cloth because I was blushing. Mom’s friend Rick works in her building so he came up to visit with me too. Mom says, “remember Rick?” No, I don’t. But he was pretty cool and talked to me like a grown-up. Mom had to work a little bit while I was there, so I helped her out. She said I was her sanity check. I’m not sure what that means but since she was using spell check a lot, I guess it’s like that. She sure has a lot of papers on her desk. There was barely any space to change me but luckily we made room. And, I was grateful we closed the door so no one walked in while my diaper was off!

Although I enjoyed visiting Mom at work, it really reinforced my desire to be a monkey trainer. I just can’t imagine sitting in front of a computer all day.

Why does she keep calling me her boyfriend??

Monkey See, Monkey Do

I have decided what I want to be when I grow up…a Monkey Trainer!! I’ve thought about this for at least a week now and I know that this is what I want to do with my life. Monkeys are just so cool; I can’t imagine doing anything else. I always know what they’re thinking and they listen to me when I talk to them. One of them, I call him Donkey Kong, wears bright colors and swings above me on my play mat. Another one, Happy Monkey, makes a great noise when I shake him. My third favorite is Shaggy Monkey because he doesn’t mind when I suck on his head. Today I gathered up all of my monkey friends around me and told them about my plans, and I can tell they were just as excited as I am about my dream. I need to go talk to mom and dad now about which preschool has the best monkey trainer program.

Monkey you're my bestest bud. Let's play.

Listening to advice from my two best pals.

Monkey kisses are the best kisses.
